Set in extensive wooded parkland in rural north-east Suffolk, the Sotterley Estate is home to a wide variety of commercial business ventures, including farming, forestry, property, events, and equestrian.

East Coast Design Studio were tasked with creating the logo and website for the Sotterley Estate. Our approach was to design something new, but with the look and feel of an established, classic brand. Challenged to take the ‘Sotterley swirl’, and design a logo based around the previous emblem as a nod to their heritage. We created a brand that appears accessible and aspirational, whilst flexible enough to work across the full range of the estates activities and media.

Alongside the Estate’s new brand identity, we designed and developed a bespoke new website, using a palette of welcoming earth tones with bold accents. This, combined with spacious design and eye-catching photography, developed a style that helps the content stand out and encourages the user to continue browsing through the site.

By developing the website to come with a content management system, East Coast Design Studio made it simple for the Estate’s team to upload, edit & post content themselves – all whilst retaining the effects and layouts that were coded into the site upon launch.
