News from the Design Desk

This month, we launched our refreshed email newsletter design and structure inspired by our strap-line: Design. Develop. Create. These three words will help us start a discussion with you, the reader, and talk about all things design, SEO, websites and more.

In June's newsletter, we waved goodbye to working from home and said hello to sunnier days and being back working in the office wearing something that's not loungewear!

We announced that we welcomed new members to the team, reunited with our studio dogs (and colleagues, too), and got stuck into some fun new projects.

We’d love to know what you think of our update if you're subscribed, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch; we’re always happy to chat via email, phone or over on socials!

Design: Recent work for Russell Civil Engineering

We are excited to share with you an animated moving image graphic we created for Russell Civil Engineering. It's displayed on the Castle Crane Sign, in Norwich, and we'd love to know if you've seen the sign out and about; don't forget to tag us in your social posts and stories if you do.

Create: SEO Success: Angela Adams Bespoke Website

Angela, at Angela Adams Photography, tasked us with creating a new, modern website, that would increase their search engine rank, generate more organic traffic and highlight their range of services.

We identified a list of important keywords to improve search engine rank for several different photography services and implemented a strategy focussed on header tags and on-page content.

Just a few months after launch, Angela has already started to receive an increased number of enquiries and her rank for our targeted service-related keywords has soared and continues to improve.

“It’s only been a couple of weeks, but I’ve just taken two rather lucrative firm bookings. Both in North Norfolk! This is a first for me, and I’ve always had to find my work in the past and not much has been Norfolk-based. I just know that your input into the website and SEO has made a difference already. Thank you.”

June Round-Up

We introduced a 'Round-Up' element to our newsletter which shares with our readers what we're watching, reading and listening to each month.

We're listening to...

The radio.

Now we're back working in the studio, we're listening to an eclectic mix of radio stations which is totally dependent on the day of the week, the music on the playlist, and who's hosting the shows!

We enjoy chatting along to BBC Radio 2's morning discussions as it generates interesting conversation and we learn a lot about each other's opinions and perspectives.

We're reading...

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.

The book is about Nora, a thirty-something woman who is regretful about her life and feels alienated and unneeded in this world. In the depths of her wallowing, she comes across the Midnight Library. In it, each book represents a portal into another variation of what her life could have been.

We're watching...

Beat The Chasers.

We loved watching Beat The Chasers at Christmas and we're so excited for a new season!

As creatives, we are constantly learning about different subject matters from each project we do as no two clients are the same, making us ideal candidates for the Chase (from the comfort of our sofas, of course!).

Don't forget to let us know what you're enjoying and if there is anything you think we should check out!

And, that’s a wrap!

We can’t wait to hear your thoughts on our new newsletter layout and your recommendations for books, tv, film, podcasts and music; our inbox is always open.
